With a large audience of more than 230 attendees, the last Eurocontrol Innovative ATM Research Workshop & Exhibition demonstrated the real value of bringing together the European Innovative ATM research community.
The 7th edition showed that this event has now become a “must attend” event in Europe. Non-European visitors from North America, Asia and Australia strenghthed links with worlwide Long Term and Innovative research.

Looking forward
Research in ATM is undergoing radical change with the arrival of SESAR. Long Term and Innovative Research is specifically covered by Work Package E,(WP-E) currently being defined.
It is expectedthat the success enjoyed over the years by the EUROCONTROL Innovative Research Workshops will be continued and built on under the new arrangements.
Provisional dates in the first week of December 2009 have been reserved for the next workshop. The WP-E team will inform 2008 delegates as soon as the situation has been finalised.
